Timothy Bukowski

Biography

Tim joined the group in the Fall of 2021 and works under Dr. Gordeyev. He earned his B.S. in mechanical engineering with a concentration in aerospace engineering from Boston University, where he researched near-wall effects on quadrotor aerodynamics under Dr. Sheryl Grace. He also spent a summer researching at the Naval Surface Warfare Center Dahlgren Division where he built a system to characterize atmospheric turbulence. Tim is now an NDSEG fellow and is pursuing his Ph.D. in aerospace engineering with the Aero-Optics group. A few of his many research interests include wavefront sensing and the fluid-structure interaction of flow over a hemispherical turret. When not in the lab, Tim enjoys playing ice hockey, tinkering with his 3D printer, and watching anything Marvel.
