Harrison Bobbitt

Graduate Student

Biography

Harrison joined the Aero-Optics Group in Fall 2025 after earning his bachelor’s degree in
Aerospace Engineering from the University of Virginia. As an undergraduate, he conducted
computational fluid dynamics simulations using an in-house immersed boundary code to
investigate the complex flow physics of fish schooling, with applications toward the design of
tuna-like robotic swimmers. His current research interests focus on aero-optical aberrations
generated by complex aircraft geometries used in airborne laser propagation
